Therése Halscheid's photography chronicles her journey to write. For more than twenty years, house-sitting has allowed her to live simply, as to write and photograph in unusual and rustic settings. Her River Towns series uses a purest approach to represent Nature’s ability to form artistic compositions. Many in the series document weather and its effects on the Wickecheoke Creek and surrounding woods where she cared for an early 1800s cottage in NJ. The play of sun and shadow, snow, and early morning mists capture the mystical elements of such a place. With increased house-sits her series has now expanded to include natural settings in old river towns hugging both sides of the Delaware River.

SELECTED 2012-2017 exhibitions include Studio Montclair Juried Exhibition; New Hope Arts Juried Exhibition; Prallsville: Images of the Mills Exhibition; Stover Mill Gallery's Juried Exhibition; The Philadelphia Sketch Club; Images of the Delaware River Watershed Juried Exhibition; N. County Branch of the Hunterdon County Library; Noyes Museum Juried Exhibition; New Hope Historical Society's Juried Exhibition: Artists Alive; and Artsbridge Annual Juried Show, among others.
